Founded by Kaleb Penner in 2009, Absolute Entertainment began with a mission to provide clients with the most professional DJ experience in the Grande Prairie area. Kaleb’s dedication to making every event a success through close collaboration with clients helped build the company into one of the most recommended DJ and entertainment providers in the Peace Region of Alberta and British Columbia.

Meet Amanda Stuhl

Owner & Super Fun DJ Extraordinaire

Amanda Stuhl’s love for music started early, nurtured by her uncle who tested her musical knowledge by playing songs and having her identify the title and artist. This passion led her to work as a radio station DJ while attending university.

In 2015, Amanda joined Absolute Entertainment as a DJ, quickly advancing to manager by 2018. Her organisational skills, fun personality, and dedication to clients made her the perfect fit to purchase the company in April 2019.

As the proud owner, Amanda continues to infuse her vibrant energy and meticulous organisation into every event, earning rave reviews from clients who appreciate her ability to create memorable experiences.

As of January 2025, not only are we members of the CPDJA, but Amanda is also the new president of the organization!

Meet Steven Welwood

General Manager & Sound Maestro

Steven Welwood brings almost 25 years of sound technician experience to Absolute Entertainment. After a decade with a production company, he joined us post-COVID shutdown.

Steven’s skill set encompasses more than just managing equipment! For example, did you know that speakers can be arranged so your guests on the dance floor can dance the night away enjoying the music, while guests outside the dance floor can still chat and hear each other clearly? No? That’s why an expert like Steven is on hand — so you can just sit back and enjoy.

It is Steven’s expertise that ensures optimal sound coverage, natural-sounding wireless mics, and minimal feedback, making sure your event runs smoothly.

Starlight LED Dance Floor: We offer the only mobile LED dance floor north of Edmonton, customizable up to 484 square feet (22’ x 22’). This stunning centrepiece adds elegance and excitement to any event, whether it's a wedding, corporate function, or fashion show.
DSLR Photo Booth: Equipped with Canon DSLR cameras, our photo booths deliver high-quality photos that stand out. With on-site printed classic photo strips or 4″ x 6″ postcards and custom templates, our photo booths capture unforgettable moments, making them a hit at every event.
Outdoor Movie Theatre: Our versatile outdoor movie theatre setup, which can also be used indoors, includes a projector, Blu-Ray player, speakers, and options for a 15 or 30-foot inflatable screen. Perfect for school, community, or corporate movie nights, this setup can even be transformed into a drive-in movie experience with our FM transmitter.

Professional Sound Technician

Unlike many DJ companies, we employ a professional sound technician to handle all our setups. This ensures optimal sound coverage, clear and natural-sounding speeches, and minimal feedback. Our technician makes sure the loud music stays focused on the dance floor, allowing guests outside the dance area to converse comfortably.
